Welshpool and Llanfair Railway

A narrow guage train trip up the steepest gradients in Britain. They have locomotives and coaches from around the world. There are shops and picnic areas at both terminals, with a tea room at Llanfair Caereinion.

Vale of Rheidol Railway

A unforgettable journey through the spectacular Rheidol valley, from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge, by narrow guage steam train. Opened in 1902 to serve the lead mines, timber and passenger traffic of the Rheidol valley, the trip is laden with history and superb views.

Llanberis Lake Railway

A lakeside trip on a narrow guage steam train gives the best views over Lake Padarn to mighty Snowdon, towering high above the village of Llanberis.

Snowdon Mountain Railway

The Snowdon train offers second to none views as you climb up the highest mountain in Wales and England. Stand on the peak and be the highest Person in England and Wales!

Child - £11.90 (upto 11), FREE (3 or under).
Dog - FREE, but very limited space

There is no set timetable for the train. The weather is an important factor in determining whether the train travels all the way to the summit. Be Aware of this. Check the forecast before travelling.
There are also special "Early Bird" prices for those who want to go on the early morning trains.

Ffestiniog Railway

The Ffestiniog Railway climbs away from the sea at Porthmadog, snakes through the Snowdonia National Park, up into the mountains to Blaenau Ffestiniog. There are shops and picnic areas at both terminals.
